The Annual Topeka Blues Society (TBS) Membership Meeting and Election of the Board will be 11:30 am, Sunday, Aug. 21st at Uncle Bo’s, followed by our Blues Challenge, a Cigar Box guitar raffle, and Silent Auction. All TBS members are invited!
If you are interested in helping keep the blues alive, you can help by serving on the TBS Board. Please email membership@topekabluessociety if you are interested in being on the ballot. Elections will be during the 11:30 am Membership Meeting on August 21st.
Following the membership meeting, Uncle Bo’s will open to the public at noon, and the Topeka Blues Society’s Blues Challenge begins at 1:00 pm. Blues acts will be judged using official International Blues Challenge (IBC) rules and the winner(s) will represent TBS in Memphis in 2017. Interested artists will find the TBS Blues Challenge application on our website under the IBC menu tab.
During the Blues Challenge, we’ll sell raffle tickets and one lucky winner will become the owner of an original Cigar Box guitar created by TBS Treasurer Brad Hern. You may purchase your ticket(s) for $5 each (or 5 for $20) at any TBS event, including our Summertime Blues this Wednesday, during the Blues Challenge on the 21st and/or on our website. You do not need to be present to win.
