A message from Justin Shelton (harmonica player/singer with the Josh Vowell Band):
“Thanks to the Topeka Blues Society I’m headed to Ross Elementary
this afternoon with Josh Vowell to teach the 4th graders about the
blues. We will be there all month hanging out, teaching rhythms and
basic history of the blues, and other instruments. And TBS is getting
the kids harmonicas next week! What a great organization here in Topeka
that we have!!! If you are not a Topeka Blues Society MEMBER then you
should be! Because they do big things with their community by supporting
local bands and keeping the blues alive. Thank TBS for giving these
kids an opportunity!”
Topeka Blues Society thanks YOU Justin and Josh, for keeping the Blues alive! We couldn’t have said it better!
And thanks to you, our TBS members – it’s your membership dollars that allow us to buy harmonicas for children in our community! You, too, are keeping the Blues alive . . .
