TBS challengers do well at IBC!

What a great week of blues at the IBC in Memphis! The Topeka Blues Society is very proud of our challengers: Youth act The Pina Brothers, Band Koolaide and The Exact Change, and KALO, our Semi-Finalist in the Solo/Duo category, finishing among the Top 32 Solo/Duo acts!!

There were 255 acts registered for the IBC, 824 individual musicians. That’s a lot of blues, and a lot of challenges.

Our TBS musicians made us proud doing what they love among, and with, their peers. We thank them for their dedication and hard work, and congratulations to them for a great week!!

PS:  Congratulations to the Hector Anchondo Band, finishing in the Finals, which consisted of just eight bands. Our own Justin Shelton is a member of HAB, and made Topekans and Kansans very proud on many Memphis stages!  See the full list of winners here – http://www.blues.org.
