One More Before You Go, a CD by Topeka’s own BACK PORCH BLUES BAND, made it to the top five in the 2015 Best Self-Produced CD Competition. Back Porch Blues Band is made up of TBS Board Member Rod Peterson, Greg Spreer, Joe Fontenot and Rick Bruner.
The 2015 Best Self-Produced CD winner will be announced during the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, January 20th through the 24th. The finalists are:

The 5th Annual Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival, produced by the Topeka Blues Society, is Friday, July 4th, at Reynolds Lodge in the Tinman Circle at Lake Shawnee, Topeka, KS.

The Topeka Blues Society (TBS), an Affiliate of The Blues Foundation, held its Blues Challenge last August. Winning that challenge, and representing the TBS for the 30th annual International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, are Dave Bostwick, Solo Blues Act and The Old No. 5’s, Blues Band.
