Best Self-Produced CD
Official Rules
Since 2005, The Blues Foundation has celebrated up and coming artists by bestowing an award for the “Best Self-Produced CD” of the year. The Best Self-Produced CD award honors artists that have achieved excellence in the studio. Acts can be bands, solo acts, duo acts, trios, full choirs or any other combination. The purpose of this award is to assist Blues musicians in the pursuit of their professional goals. Entries for Best Self-Produced CD are permitted by affiliated blues societies only.
You MUST have a current membership to the Topeka Blues Society (TBS) to be eligible to enter. TBS members, please submit 4 copies of your CD in an envelope stating “TBS Best Self-Produced CD Competition” to the Topeka Blues Society for consideration NO LATER THAN the second Friday in October.
CD’s may be mailed to the TBS and must be post marked no later than the 2nd Friday in October.

Per the rules, the CD must have been released between November 1 (last year) – October 31 (this year) time frame.
Judging will take place in three rounds. Judges will remain anonymous in order to protect them from outside influences and they will represent a cross-section of professionals from the blues radio and print industry. The final results will be announced at the finals of the International Blues Challenge held at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN.
