Topeka Blues Society

The Topeka Blues Society was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization in July of 2008. The objectives of the Society are to educate the general public about the native art form known as “The Blues” through performance, by enhancing appreciation and understanding, through interpretation, preservation, and education. The Topeka Blues Society is an affiliate of The Blues Foundation.

Goals of the Topeka Blues Society

The goals established by the Topeka Blues Society for the up-coming year are:

  • Sponsor a Band and Solo/Duo act to the International Blues Challenge
  • Sponsor a Blues Festival
  • Sponsor music functions throughout Topeka to promote the Blues and live music
  • Establish a Blues-In-School Program
  • Establish an Instruments for Kids program
